The Right Message To The Right Person At The Right Time

Updated: Oct 27, 2019

Well gee whiz! Doesn't that sound like a common-sense and reasonable approach to marketing? Isn't that Marketing 101? Indeed it is.

So if the above is true, why do I constantly see companies sending the "Same message to everybody at the same time"? I guess we could debate this question for days without coming up with a decent answer, but since we only have a couple of minutes of reading time, let's go for the most obvious answers, OK?

First, let's stipulate that people, especially marketing people, are looking for the simplest and easiest to implement solutions. That doesn't mean that they're lazy, not at all. It means that they want platforms that don't require an additional Masters degree to understand and operate. They want intuitive, easy-to-use tools that can match their own thought process.

My observations, based upon a study of platforms on the market today, is that almost all of them fall into the category described above, i.e. you need to do more than just read the manual to learn how to operate the platform to get your desired result. In fact, in many cases, you need to receive special additional training, usually at your cost in order to learn the basics.

Hence the alternative of the "same message to everyone at the same time" tactic rather than the proven tactic in the headline above.

So why go through that kind of hassle when there is an easy and affordable solution available right now, regardless of your budget? Why not upgrade to "easy"? That's SMARTLoyalty Hub+.
